Large Developer of the year

Award criteria

For developers who have 100 or more units built in the last 12 months across Hertfordshire. Either on one development or across multiple sites.
Please note that the entry requirements are intended as guidelines only. If you are unsure about your eligibility or have any questions, we encourage you to contact us for clarification. Additionally, the judges reserve the right to move entries into more appropriate categories if deemed necessary.
We will ask you to provide:
• A maximum 700-word entry detailing why your company should win in this category. Please outline the total number of units built and any key points you feel will enhance your entry focusing on sustainability measures, community engagement and social value initiatives, quality, design and sales and marketing successes. These individual elements will enhance your entry and appeal to the judges.
• 5 – 10 images of publicity material to be shown on the night. Including developments (internal & external), community and collateral.
• Your company logo image (full colour)
• A point of contact for the entry – Company name (to be shown on the award) name and contact details of award entry submission

Medium Developer of the year

Award criteria

For developers who have between 50 – 99 units built in the last 12 months across Hertfordshire. Either on one development or across multiple sites.
Please note that the entry requirements are intended as guidelines only. If you are unsure about your eligibility or have any questions, we encourage you to contact us for clarification. Additionally, the judges reserve the right to move entries into more appropriate categories if deemed necessary.
We will ask you to provide:
• A maximum 700-word entry detailing why your company should win in this category. Please outline the total number of units built and any key points you feel will enhance your entry focusing on sustainability measures, community engagement and social value initiatives, quality, design and sales and marketing successes. These individual elements will enhance your entry and appeal to the judges. 
• 5 – 10 images of publicity material to be shown on the night. Including developments (internal & external), community and collateral. 
• Your company logo image (full colour) 
• A point of contact for the entry – Company name (to be shown on the award) name and contact details of award entry submission

Small Developer of the year

Award criteria

For developers who have less than 25 units built in the last 12 months across Hertfordshire. Either on one development or across multiple sites.

We will ask you to provide:
• A maximum 700-word entry detailing why your company should win in this category. Please outline the total number of units built and any key points you feel will enhance your entry focusing on sustainability measures, community engagement and social value initiatives, quality, design and sales and marketing successes. Development of the year

Award criteria

For the best development in Hertfordshire that has launched off plan or has been actively selling, with product to see, within the last 12 months. This can be a development of houses or apartments.

Additionally, the judges reserve the right to move entries into more appropriate categories if deemed necessary.

We will ask you to provide:

• A maximum 700-word entry detailing why your Hertfordshire development should win in this category. Please outline total number of units for the scheme and any key points you feel will enhance your entry. These can include quality, design considerations, types of construction, materials used, sustainability measures, community engagement and sales and marketing successes. These individual elements will enhance your entry and appeal to the judges.

• The name of the development 
• Location of development (full address)
• Price ranges 
• Number of bedrooms (i.e  studio apartments to 4 bedroom houses) 
• Is there product to view? (i.e show home open) 
• 5 – 10 images of publicity material to be shown on the night. Including any CGI’s, internal and external images if possible. 
• 1 company logo image (full colour) 
• A point of contact for the entry – Company name (to be shown on the award) name and contact details of award entry submission. 

Consultancy of the Year

Recognising those who go above and beyond

Award criteria

This category celebrates a consultancy firm that has demonstrated outstanding service, expertise, and results in the Hertfordshire property market over the last 12 months.
The winning consultancy will be one that has gone above and beyond to support developers, investors, or clients through strategic guidance, technical delivery, innovation or exceptional problem-solving. This could include planning consultants, architects, engineers, surveyors, agents, or other property-related professional services.
We will ask you to provide:
• A maximum 700-word entry detailing why your consultancy should win in this category. Please outline the services delivered, project highlights and client impact, including any innovation, standout successes, or added value provided. Judges will be looking for measurable impact, client satisfaction, and examples of proactive collaboration.
• 3 – 5 project images or visuals relevant to your consultancy work (if applicable).
• 1 company logo image (full colour)
• A point of contact for the entry – Company name (to be shown on the award), name and contact details of award entry submission.

Property Person of the Year

Celebrating individual excellence

Award criteria

This award recognises an individual who has made a significant contribution to the Hertfordshire property industry over the past 12 months. The nominee may be employed within a development company, agency, consultancy, or public body—what matters is their personal impact, leadership, and achievement. They will be distinguished by their ability to inspire others, deliver meaningful results, and influence the industry in a positive and lasting way.
The award is open to professionals across all disciplines and departments within the property sector. Nominations are also encouraged for rising stars whose potential and accomplishments merit recognition.
Please note that you must not nominate yourself. 
We will ask you to provide:
• A maximum 700-word entry outlining why this individual deserves to win. Please highlight career achievements over the past year, leadership qualities, industry impact, and any specific initiatives or projects that demonstrate their excellence. Testimonials or quotes from peers or clients are encouraged.
• 1-3 supporting images, which can include the individual, relevant events, or work-related photography.
• A headshot of the nominee (high resolution)
• One company logo image (full colour)
• A point of contact for the entry and Company name

Strategic Land Promoter of the Year

Recognising forward-thinking land expertise

Award criteria

This award acknowledges the strategic land promoter (individual or company) that has demonstrated exceptional planning insight, land assembly, and delivery strategy across Hertfordshire within the last 12 months.
The judges will be looking for examples of effective collaboration with landowners, local authorities and other stakeholders, as well as evidence of vision, perseverance and tangible results.
We will ask you to provide: 
• A maximum 1000-word entry outlining your strategic land work over the past 12 months. Please include detail on sites promoted, planning progress or success, stakeholder engagement, and long-term outcomes. Consider highlighting innovation, sustainability considerations, and community benefit where relevant.
• 3 – 5 visuals (maps, site plans, photography, or CGIs) to support your entry.
• A company logo image (full colour)
• A point of contact for the entry – Company name or Individual (to be shown on the award), name and contact details of award entry submission.

Hertfordshire Residential Lifetime Achievement Award

Honouring a lasting legacy

Award criteria

This special award recognises an individual whose long-standing contribution to the Hertfordshire residential property sector has been truly exceptional.

Throughout their career, this person will have influenced the residential property landscape in the county, mentored others, and left a legacy of professionalism, vision and dedication. This person may work within a development company, agency, consultancy or public body – what matters is their personal impact, leadership, and achievement.

We are not accepting nominations for this award. This award will be chosen by the HRDA 2025 committee.
